C’est Ici Design X Mia Milano
Developed in collaboration with Mia Milano for Milan Design Week, MADAR is a collection that explores the transformation of natural stone into functional, interactive design objects.
Created between Dubai and Milan, the collaboration brings together the architectural approach of C’est ici with the craftsmanship and material sensibility of Italian design. The result is a collection that balances sculptural presence with adaptability, designed for contemporary living spaces.
The MADAR coffee table comprises three individual components — Alma, Vera, and Mara — each with its own identity and function while forming part of a cohesive modular composition. Together, the pieces create a unified coffee table system; independently, they can be repositioned and used separately within a space, allowing for flexible arrangement and interaction.
Designed around movement and modularity, MADAR challenges the idea of the static coffee table. Its shifting composition creates evolving spatial relationships while maintaining a clear and consistent design language.
The collection emphasizes the structural qualities of marble rather than treating the material as a decorative finish. Marble is used to define proportion, balance, and rhythm, highlighting both its strength and softness through clean geometries and refined forms.
Positioned between collectible design and contemporary interior architecture, MADAR reflects a shared approach to material exploration, functionality, and refined craftsmanship — presented during Milan Design Week as a dialogue between object, space, and interaction.
